Welcome to Bow

Bow is packed with history but never stuck in the past. It’s the original home of ‘Cockney’, the birthplace of Bow porcelain, and a key battleground in the Suffragette movement—Sylvia Pankhurst led the fight for women’s rights from here. These days, Bow is a mix of old and new, where historic streets meet creative energy.

One of the best-kept secrets? Tower Hamlets Cemetery Park. Once a Victorian burial ground, it’s now a peaceful nature reserve, perfect for a quiet walk (or a bit of wildlife spotting if you’re lucky).

Need a caffeine fix? Posted Coffee on Bow Road is the place for an expertly brewed coffee in a minimalist but welcoming setting. Prefer something stronger? The Bow Bells is an East End classic complete with a quirky tradition—if you can get a coin to land on the bar’s ornate bell, you win a free pint!

For craft beer fans, The Pretty Decent Brewery serves up fresh, independent pints in a chilled-out space. And if you’re feeling adventurous, Mile End Climbing Centre is just around the corner, offering some of the best indoor climbing in London.
